Neal Workman
Neal
is a resident of Walhalla and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
in economics
from Wofford College. He began his career with Milliken Company,
and after three years, he accepted a position with Walhalla
Builders,
a residential development company. He spent the following three
years developing subdivisions and building homes. Vector Corporation,
a commercial construction company grew out of Walhalla Builders
and for the next nine years, he served as its executive vice
president.
In 1982 he founded Trehel Corp., an unlimited licensed general
contracting firm located in Clemson.
Neal
serves on several non-profit boards in the area, including representing
Region One on the State Heritage Corridor Board. He serves on
Clemson
University's Industry Advisory Board for the College of Architecture
and Humanities, the board of trustees of Tri-County Tech, and is
a member of the executive committee for the Collins Children's
Home.
He is vice chair of the Anderson County Economic Development
Partnership, and in 1999, he was named the Business Person of
the Year by
the
Clemson Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Fay, have two adult
children, Helen and Tres. |
