Lisa Scott Hallo joined Upstate Forever in 2007 as a Project Associate for the Clean Air and Water Program.  After several years in that position, Lisa began in her current role as the Director of the Sustainable Communities Program.

Before coming to Upstate Forever and South Carolina, Lisa spent six years working as a Program Director at the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, a conservation organization based in northern Vermont.  Lisa has also worked with the Antioch New England Institute in Keene, New Hampshire, the Glen Helen Outdoor Education Center in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and the Student Conservation Association at Arches National Park. Her educational background includes a BS in Magazine Journalism and an MS in Environmental Studies.

Lisa currently lives in Pickens County with her husband, Jeff, an Assistant Professor at Clemson University, her three kids, Cooper, Ashlyn, and Bridger, and dogs Marley and Moab.  In her free time, she loves to travel, jog, hike, garden, spend time with her family, and explore new places in the Upstate.
