The Anderson County Outreach Group, originally founded in 2009, was reestablished in 2010. The group has proven to be a vital and effective force for conservation. The group has focused its energies on one-on-one contact with landowners of special properties, and plans to host three intimate landowner dinners in 2011 to share information about land protection opportunities with their neighbors. No doubt many special places in Anderson County will be protected as a direct result of the efforts of this talented group.
