EarthCraft Overview
The EarthCraft House program started in 1999 as a partnership involving the following parties:
With a focus on green building and renovation, the program has become available to cities not only in Georgia, but also in South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and Virginia.
With the help of Upstate Forever, the EarthCraft program was introduced to the upstate with the building of Greenville’s first “green home”—Upstate House. The program emphasizes lower construction wastes, using recycled and environmentally friendly products and employing construction practices that reduce energy requirements.
