Upstate Forever is seeking a Land Policy Grassroots Specialist to join our Land Planning & Policy program staff. Applications for this role must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on March 31, 2023.
Join Upstate Forever and the Rocky River Conservancy on Friday, April 14 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm for a morning of invasive species management at the Rocky River Nature Park, a 131-acre permanently protected public access park. Volunteers will learn to identify common invasive species, effective removal techniques and will become better acquainted with the diversity of native flora found in the floodplain forest ecosystem.
Participants should wear long pants and closed-toed shoes and are welcome to bring shears, saws, and gloves, though gloves and tools will be provided.
The number of volunteers will be capped at 30. A member of our team will contact you to confirm your registration and share volunteer waivers.
This event is the first of a year-long series of events aimed at improving habitat quality for the abundance of wildlife that the park supports. We are grateful for the support of the Anderson County Watershed Protection Council in this year-long restoration effort.
