Together with The Tyger River Foundation and Audubon South Carolina, Upstate Forever will host a native species planting workday along Lawson's Fork Creek at Upper Shoals at Glendale in Spartanburg.
In partnership with The Tyger River Foundation and Audubon SC, Upstate Forever will host a native planting workday to improve habitat for neotropical migratory birds at the Upper Shoals of Glendale property. During this workday, volunteers will plant native wildflowers and grasses to enhance habitat for wildlife within the riparian areas along Lawson's Fork Creek. Come learn more about the unique history and ecology of this protected property while contributing to a larger habitat restoration effort.
Participants should wear long pants, close-toed shoes and gear that you don't mind getting dirty in. We will provide tools and gloves, but volunteers are more than welcome to bring their favorite gardening gloves or trowels.
Many hands make light work — we hope to see you there! Light refreshments will be provided.
