Born and raised in Greenwood, Ginger Self Goldsmith received her BA in History from Furman University and is a graduate of the Southeastern Council of Foundations’ Hull Leadership Program. She has been a member of the Self Family Foundation Next Generation Board since its inception in 1996 and currently sits on the main Board of the Foundation. Ginger lived in Charlottesville, Boston and Charleston before returning to Greenville.
Ginger has worked as a medical massage therapist, esthetician, Realtor and office manager before pursuing her passion in the nonprofit world. She lives in Greenville with her husband Matt Goldsmith and their two dogs, and you can often find them enjoying the trails at the Conestee Park. Having called the Upstate home for most of her life, Ginger is very proud of the efforts in the Upstate to preserve green spaces, promote active lifestyles, and grow the area in smart, responsible ways.
