Kris Yon

Kris Yon served as a dedicated member of the Upstate Forever Board of Directors from 2001 to 2018. A retired Montessori teacher and proud graduate of Clemson University’s College of Nursing, Class of 1977, Kris has long been a champion for conservation in South Carolina. She and her family established the Yon Farm Conservation Easement, which protects the largest swamp in the Upstate, and she continues to be an active local advocate for preserving the special places that make our corner of the state unique. In her free time, she enjoys nature walks, trail riding, and spending time with her three grandchildren.
