Volunteers will meet at West End Elementary School (314 Pelzer Hwy, Easley, SC 29642) and ride a shuttle provided by the City of Easley to the park.
Nalley Brown Nature Park is a free and publicly accessible 38-acre property protected in 2006. Throughout the park, visitors enjoy a trail system through a mixed hardwood and evergreen forest.
This workday is hosted in partnership with the City of Easley. The primary activity of this workday will involve removing invasive species such as invasive olive and Chinese Privet to improve habitat for native wildlife and migratory species.
Participants should wear long pants, close-toed shoes and gear that you don't mind getting dirty in. We will provide tools and gloves, but volunteers are more than welcome to bring their favorite gardening gloves, loppers or saws!
Many hands make light work — we hope to see you there!
Refreshments will be provided. The number of volunteers for this workday is capped at 30.
