The Wyche Society

Honoring a visionary legacy

The Wyche Family has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Upstate South Carolina for over 40 years. A tribute to Tommy Wyche, the tireless leader of the successful campaign to protect over 100,000 acres in the Blue Ridge escarpment of the South Carolina mountains creating the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area, this legacy also includes Harriet Wyche, the visionary champion of Falls Park on the Reedy River, and their son, Brad Wyche, who founded Upstate Forever in 1998 and served as its Executive Director until 2015.

The purpose of the Wyche Society is to honor the Wyche legacy, to promote fellowship and collegiality among its members, and to provide an ongoing forum to discuss important land conservation, clean water, and growth management issues.
