Keynote speaker Jason Lawrence, expert in all things TOD (Transit Oriented Development) in Charlotte, NC will cover the basics, including - What IS TOD anyway...and Why is TOD an important topic for decision-makers to explore NOW (even for areas not currently served by transit)?  Jason will also address how we can encourage and direct this form of development to meet the changing demands of major consumer groups  (i.e. millenials and baby boomers) and expand choices for more affordable living in the Upstate.

Individual Ticket Price: $10

Ticket includes admission to workshop, as well as dinner.

Cancellations must be made at least seven (7) days in advance of event date to receive a refund of ticket cost.

This presentation is part of a larger educational series stemming from the Shaping our Future Growth Alternatives Analysis, an eye-opening study released by Upstate Forever in 2017 in partnership with Ten at the Top and the Riley Institute at Furman University. 

This workshop has received approval for 1.5 hours of continuing education by the South Carolina Planning Education Advisory Committee.

The final workshop of the year will be offered on October 18th to allow an opportunity to earn additional continuing education hours.
