Join us for the 6th annual Preservation Ride on September 23, 2017! This year we have a NEW location at the beautiful Pleasant Ridge Park on Highway 11 just north of Greenville, plus multiple ride routes to suit all experience levels. Registration includes a tasty post-ride meal served on real plates with real silverware to reduce our environmental impact. Families are welcome!

Proceeds will go to Upstate Forever to support our work protecting land, water, and the unique character of the Upstate of South Carolina. For more information, visit www.upstateforever.org.

Register now to reserve your spot. We'll let you switch ride distances or events at any time.

Activities:

Road Bike Rides: Road rides feature routes that climb the Greenville Water Shed, taking in the spectacular beauty of the Upstate. Multiple ride distances will be available for cyclists of all levels. There is a 17 mile route, 44 mile route and a 64 mile route available. The 17 mile route is least challenging on elevation gain, while the 44 and 64 mile routes feature 3,500 ft and 5,000 ft of climbing respectively. There is an option on the 44 and 64 mile routes to skip some of the climbing on the way home if you prefer.

Mountain Bike Ride: The Mountain Bike Preservation Ride will be conducted on the 5.5 mile JFA (Jorge F. Arango) trail inside Pleasant Ridge County Park. We have a ride leader that will help you get started, but riders are welcome to go at their own pace. The JFA trail is beautiful and very well marked. Riders are welcome to do multiple laps of this loop as they desire.

Trail Run: The Preservation Trail Run will be a self-guided trail run conducted on the 5.5 mile JFA (Jorge F. Arango) trail inside Pleasant Ridge County Park. The JFA Trail is beautiful and very well marked. Runners are welcome to do multiple laps of this loop as they desire. The run distance is listed as a range to accommodate these choices.

Trail Hike/Walk: Outdoor enthusiasts are welcome to enjoy the beautiful 5.5 mile JFA (Jorge F. Arango) trail inside Pleasant Ridge County Park on their own. This is an awesome activity for family members that are not riding any of the Preservation Rides. There is a small donation for the hike to cover your free Preservation Meal after your hike. We are currently talking with several naturalists that may be available to lead an informative and enjoyable hike for the event.

Visit the Preservation Ride event website for more information, including online registration, route maps, policies and additional options.
