Two chances to explore the City of Greenville's proposed Comp Plan

November 10th, 2020

Upstate Forever is proud to be a member of Impact Greenville — a diverse coalition of partners working to shape public policy at the intersection of housing, transportation, and land use. Please see the message below from Impact Greenville and plan to join us on November 16th at 5:30 pm or November 18th at noon to learn more about GVL 2040, the City of Greenville's comprehensive plan.

The City of Greenville and Greenville County have grown and changed significantly since 2000. Growth has meant more jobs, more housing, and a higher quality of life for many Greenville residents. But growth is never cost-free. It has also meant more traffic, higher housing costs, more land consumption, and other less desirable trends.

What about the next 20 years?

GVL2040 is a comprehensive plan that the City of Greenville can use to shape its growth and evolution over the next two decades in ways that reflect how the community wants to grow.

Join us to learn more about the GVL2040 plan that will soon come before the City’s Planning Commission and City Council. The draft plan, executive summaries, and plan highlights are available here for review.

Sponsored by Impact Greenville, the sessions will feature city staff, steering committee members, and the plan consultant to discuss highlights and answer questions.
